1. Overview

MovieDB ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information is collected and how it is used when you visit MovieDB.

2. Data stored on your device

Your watchlist, watch history, continue-watching progress, and preferences are stored in your browser's local storage on the device you are using. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly export it. We do not require an account, email address, or password.

3. Third-party services

• TMDB: Metadata, posters and trailers are fetched from TMDB. Your IP address may be visible to TMDB when data is requested server-side on your behalf.
• Video providers: Watch pages load video in third-party iframes. Your interaction with those providers is governed by their respective privacy policies.
• Analytics: If enabled, we may use Google Tag Manager / Google Analytics to understand aggregate usage. You can block these with a content blocker or browser extension.

4. Cookies & local storage

We use browser local storage (not tracking cookies) to remember your settings and library between visits. Clearing your browser data removes all of this information.

5. Your rights

You can export or permanently delete all of your local data at any time from the Settings page ("Export library" and "Clear all data").
